I never used to come here (even though it is literally 2 blocks from my house)... however, once the place changed ownership, I decided to give it chance. Now, the coffee is great, the baked goods are amazing and the pastries... OH the pastries!
I'm so happy these 2 guys ended up in my hood.. also feels great to support both Willow and Tandem :) -

Cute cafe with plenty seats inside and out. Not to mention the decors are kinda eclectic. Fresh bakery everyday.
I got a butter croissant, which in my opinion, was the most buttery and soft croissant I tasted in a long while. And the price isn't too bad either...only $2.99. the smoothie was a bit of a disappointment - I thought it was a bit diluted and very expensive for how it turned out. Regardless, I would definitely visit again for those delicious croissants and other bakery items! -

This cafe is a block from me so I've been a regular customer for 10 years over the 2 ownership and name changes.
It's a good, quiet coffee shop. It helps it's on 16th and doesn't have the busy, buzy feel a place on Broadway would have. The bakery is decent. Basically glad to have it in my neighborhood. Good people running it. -

This is a small cafe/bakery located in a quiet stretch of 16th avenue in between Oak and Cambie. They have a good selection of casual breakfast/lunch items, including fresh baked goods. I've had a Chocolate Tart and a Carrot Cake, as well as an Almond Croissant for my mom. The food was quite tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff were also quite friendly. All in all, this is a great local place for a quick bite or some treats.
Chocolate Tart ($3):
4.5/5
The chocolate ganache filling was smooth and not at all waxy, and had a nice bittersweet flavour. It was mixed with some raspberry, which provided a fragrance as well as a bit of tang. The crust was perfectly baked with a nice cripness, as well as a sweet caramelized flavour. This is definitely one of the better chocolate tarts that I've had.
Carrot Cake ($4):
4/5
This consisted of three layers of carrot cake sandwiching cream cheese frosting. The cake was dense and relatively moist, and filled with shredded carrots. The cream cheese frosting was smooth and sweet, with a nice bit of tang. Being a massive lover of cream cheese, I personally could have done with a bit more of it present. This is a straightforward dessert, but definitely delicious.
Almond Croissant ($3.50):
I gave this to my mom. She quite enjoyed it. -

Great space to meet friends or work at a table, or just daydream on the couch. The vegan spelt muffin is delicious. Wifi is quite reliable. Love it!
